Not all who Wando are lost.

This here's a Portland, Maine to Portland, Oregon road trip done Parks-style. We took 4200 glorious miles to get across the lower part of our north American continent this past early May, and these are the pictures to prove it.
Preparation for a road trip is rigourous and sometimes a bit awkward. Yeshe demonstrates standard preparational procedure prior to prancing out the promenade with his pristine pringles can. Mmmm, pretty.

Nose now flushed, we're ready to depart! Yeshe departs with the best of them with this the first of many driving poses.
An accurate representation of Massachusetts.
Upstate New York.
Spock out, Pennsylvania.

Oh hi! Oh...

To fair Cleveland, home of something significant we never took the time to research.
However, a little bird told us about a diner there that might be open to serving a little something called Wandhi.
The knife that cuts Wandhi reflects...Wandhi.
Perfect Wan-time.

Rocket Science and the mystery of life revealed!

Spontaneous dance party.

Later that night a dance party ensued.
Seriously.

A little midnight Dolce & Gabbana Wando, first night.

Sleep time outside of Columbus.

Missouri and butterflies

The next day we awoke with the spirit of a thousand springtimes floating beneath our fluffy wings. This is pretty much what that kind of thing looks like.
Birds of a Buteo genus were starting to pop up a lot in Illinois and Missouri.
Kaufman's field guide to birds of North America helped immensely thanks to a very thoughtful Jennifer Margaret Batchelor.
We were in Gad's country now, a meaty oyster of conservatism which somehow holds this pearl of a place in St. Louis by the name of the City Museum.
Thank you to our friend Diane for pointing us to said oyster!
There's really too much wowie zowie here to describe. Let the pictures not do this place justice.

The City Museum

cool is the new black.

The City Museum 2

The Geiger room. Effing A, man.

the hand to the far left pulled the brake. bringing the wand to a screeching halt.
Slide time awesomeness!

Radical times five gazillion feels like sliding at the City Museum.

Fish that eat callouses!

Kansas

Squaring off against a new-found arch-nemesis. Hyphen-rock-time.

So we drove into the eve, stopping between Topekuh and Whichitaw.
Next morning it was quite obviously Wan-time after a set of circulatory-enhancement exercises at the rest stop.
Kansas. There's no place like not this place.
These dudes needs foods and a videographer.

There is a place called the North Broadway Diner in Wichita where locals smoke cigars the size of two liter bottles at 7:20am.

Wichita, Kansas

This place, whoa-time.
In the midst of chaos!

The OG Wandhi is served.

Breaking Bad.

Character sketch.
Greensburg, Kansas was destroyed by a tornado in 2007. This is what remains.
Crazy-time.
